What is Spotify Discovery Mode?
Discovery Mode is a marketing tool that helps your music get heard when audiences are most open to discovery. Artists and labels identify songs that are a priority for them, and our system will add that signal to the algorithms that determine personalized listening sessions. But it only works if fans love it too. When a listener isn’t engaging with a song, we take that as a sign that it’s not resonating and pull back on recommending it to similar listeners. It’s all about harmony.

Identity Music has been working closely with artists to assess whether Discovery Mode would be suitable for them and would support their development across Spotify. What Is The Cost For Spotify Discovery Mode?
There is no upfront cost for this service. Instead, Spotify will take an additional 30% of streaming revenue from their current cut for any streams boosted using this new feature from Radio and Autoplay situations. Any streams from your catalogue beyond these sources, such as streams from your own playlists, or directly from your artist homepage, will not be affected by this 30% reduction in streaming revenue.
